This is a crucial day as you climb higher towards the summit. After breakfast, you'll ascend through a rocky and rugged terrain, reaching the "Saddle" - a high-altitude desert that connects Mawenzi and Kibo. As you near Kibo Hut, the base camp for the summit attempt, you'll notice the landscape becoming barren and lunar-like. Rest and eat a nourishing dinner, as you'll have an early night to prepare for the summit push.
Today is the most challenging but rewarding day of your trek. You'll start the summit attempt around midnight, guided by headlamps and accompanied by experienced guides.
